The original comics and cartoons never revealed if Fisto's fist was a gauntlet or a prosthetic, but the 2002 animated series established that his hand was cybernetic in origin and that he was the brother of Man-At-Arms. Introduced as part of Wave 3 of the original Masters of the Universe toyline, Fisto was distinguished by his oversized metal fist. Given that the series' showrunner Kevin Smith is famous for sneaking adult references and puns into his films, there is almost no way that the line in question wasn't an intentional nod to the long-running fan joke.
